This day has been very relaxing so far. I feel like I am asleep, but awake. Life is so rich and good.
I don't have any obligations to anyone. Freedom of spirit. Freedom of mind.
For the past 2 nights, everyone at the school has been celebrating. It's so great to finally be finished with classes. Last night my game went so well! The students were really enjoying playing, and started getting really competitive...which makes things fun. Afterwards, I felt so liberated again at the fact the students were learning the language and having a blast. Ahhh.....I feel like yesterday was one big day. Not big in a bad way, but just long in the fact that I have stayed up 2 nights in a row! All the teachers have become super close at the school. I've definitely made some friends for life. And the party must go on.... :)
I've decided to go up north to Chang Mai in the mountains, then Chang Rai and visit the city of temples. I've booked a flight for this Monday at 10am, and am staying in a hostel called the Little Bird Guesthouse. It looks super cute, and I'm very stoked about going. Hoping to go to the national parks surrounding the city and go trekking for a couple days to some caves, waterfalls, and other beautiful places. I really just want to get away from the city, and off the island to explore. I considered going to Malaysia, but since I have my visa for Thailand I might as well use it.
I have to go into town sometime and get a bamboo mat to sleep on. So glad I didn't bring my sub polar sleeping bag...Speaking of sleeping. I might go to bed early tonight! One of my friends, Cate, gave me a book to read. And I'm very excited to start reading it. But so tired right now.....
