Now, I could just ramble on about what an amazing day... how I woke up at 2pm and decided to run a half-marathon to Rawaii beach, (for all you non-runners that's over 13miles away), how it was the most beautiful crystal clear water I have ever seen-EVER! How I spent 2 hours digging for oysters in the sand with village children who had an excellent sense of humor, how I taught a little butt naked 2 year old boy how to say "horse," and then got invited to join 2 Thai ladies for their sunset picnic of spicy Thai veggies, and fresh bread, on the the dock of Rawaii beach, then watched the sun go down sipping a watermelon slush sitting cross legged on a pillow, and reclining table. How I turned a taxi down to Phuket town, only to hop on a motorbike for half the price, but got lost on the way home, and got caught in a torrential downpour of rain, which I danced in...yes, i do that...which helped me get to Tesco Lotus for some drinking water, and to the center of town waving to all my non-speaking local Thai-buddies who i haven't actually talked to but am planning on stopping in their shop, who know me for "that crazy white American girl who always walks by and waves," then came back to the school and tried to talk to my papa on Skype, but the mic doesn't work here, so I decided to call, and talked with him, which made my night, and now I'm blogging sipping some drinkable yogurt...oh ya, did i forget about the side market trip where i walked past the pig heads with the brains and tongue hanging from this long string just spinning with the help of gravity, of course I opted for the fresh limes and lettuce, which is now in the fridge..but I wouldn't just want to ramble about my day like that when the whole day could be summed up so wonderfully in one simple song....
Someone to Watch Over Me sung by Asher Book.
Enjoying the rain...

Love you!! mom
Hey Jena. Following your blog. Sounds like quite an adventure. Are you getting credit at school for teaching in Thailand? Or just taking a semester off from school? We are praying for you!
